Kelli O'Hara will star in Jason Robert Brown's Bridges of Madison County musical at Williamstown Theatre Festival... I'm so happy to see new work from him, despite my personal opinions about him. I'm also glad, as always, to see her doing interesting, unique new work.
I heard a few of the songs at his concert and they were pretty good. I think the best song in the show is for the girl who plays the main guy's ex wife.
He's also the same Jason Robert Brown that wrote the brilliant "Parade," "Last 5 Years," and "Songs For A New World." So, why wouldn't she go into this?

Cause there are only few selected numbers in each of those shows that are any good...?
I guess the timing of this confuses me. Kelli is doing FAR FROM HEAVEN and last I heard, a broadway transfer isn't out of the question for it. Why would she leave that show to start another new one?
I'm with Owen and jimmycurry - Brown's main focus is self-promotion, which is good because his lyrics are bland and pointless and his music is bland and repetitive.
Elena Shaddow is now taking the role over, at least for WTF, while Kelli takes time off for the baby. Do you think if there is a possible transfer that it would still star Kelli, or would Elena finally have her shot at originating a broadway role?
It's hard to say, considering Kelli is attached to Far From Heaven (which undoubtedly has its eye on Broadway) and allegedly to a future revival of The King and I.
