for any of his die-hard fans to pay that much will be foolish. nobody is worth paying that price for, no matter how good they are.
A Chorus Line played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013.
To be fair, the entire balcony is only $50, but A-O of the orch is $350. I didn't know he could still pull in that kind of dough.

The tickets are only worth $700, if people pay that sort of money.

Seriously, I don't get Manilow fans, at least people who aren't old enough to remember him the first time he was successful in the '70s. Anyone younger? Hm. He's not even fun in a hipster, ironic way. He's just plain terrible. Bad songs, tacky-bad showmanship, bad all the way around. And he never could sing and still can't sing. He also didn't write the songs that make the whole world sing. In fact, he didn't even write the song "I Write the Songs."
This $700 premium seats is a joke and people should be crying out against it. It's about time people took a stand. I'm telling you now, if audiences pay these RIDICULOUS prices, they'll just keep getting higher & higher. Just say no to Barry Manilow. I book groups to see theater on Broadway and I can tell you without hesitation, this kind of thing doesn't help anyone.
Does anyone know if these are selling at all? I wonder what the advance is. I had no desire to see this at any price and certainly am not shelling out that kind of money. Personally, I find everything about him extremely tacky - looks, music, everything.
Scratch and claw for every day you're worth!
Make them drag you screaming from life, keep dreaming
You'll live forever here on earth.

Do you hear the people cry? Standing outside The Barry Show. They can't afford a ticket but they would so like to go. It is the music of their grams That they all long to hear again Maybe the first of the month When their checks all come.

They probably only sell a handful at that price and I imagine it helps make up the difference for unsold seats. If people want to pay that much to watch the crypt keeper perform, more power to them.

It is time for us all To decide who we are going to see tonight Do we have the funds For a night at Barry Manilow? Have you asked of yourselves What’s the price you might pay? Is it simply a show For Rich old ladies And suburban hairdressers to see? The color of the world Is changing day by day
Green—the cash that Barry makes! Brown—the crap that he is selling! Green—the color Barbra turns! Brown—something that rhymes with ‘selling’!!
You think, what do you want?
You think, make a decision...
