Saw the show today, really loved it. However I am extremely disappointed to see the cast recording available is the touring cast (the broadway cast sounds a lot better) and that its missing several songs (including You'll Shoot Your Eye Out). Is there any chance they will rerecord it with the broadway company, or at least add the one or two new songs to the current version of the CD?
As much as I wish it were likely, I high doubt it will happen. The only chance would be that they record "You'll Shoot Your Eye Out" as a single or something and release it digitally, but even that it is still pretty unlikely.
the current touring version is so sub par to whats on broadway right now, considering they are making like a million a week I would have a new version done because I really won't be surprised if this comes back next year or the year after.
They recorded too early like the majority of the Christmas shows that recorded and then made changes the next year. It's kind of annoying. A Christmas Carol and Elf also recorded their cast albums and then made changes.
