If Morgan James is on it does it make this an automatic flop? Is she quickly becoming the Ted McGinley of Broadway?

We must have different Gods. My God said "do to others what you would have them do to you". Your God seems to have said "My Way or the Highway".
morgan james has been in the ENS of 3 broadway musicals. WHY is her name on the headline for the casting of motown when she is in the ens of this one? has any other broadway ensemble member been more publicized than this person? what is going on!?!

1) She has a really good publicist?
2) She's "name" because of the drama she creates?

Didn't Ted McGinley spend 8 seasons on "Married with Children"? I wouldn't call that a flop. I have a feeling he is basking by his pool with a solid gold letter opener to remove his residual checks from their envelopes.
Morgan, honey, you're white. Get over it. Shoshana tried, and look at what it did to her voice. Quit trippin'.
I always loved pretending I was someone else, someone quite mysterious and fascinating...until one day I grew up and realized I WAS mysterious and fascinating!
Morgan is signed to show producer Sony Music Entertainment. She's been promoting her recently released debut album (Morgan James Live at Club Coca-Cola: A Tribute to Nina Simone*) and the show since last week. I'm guessing she was "discovered" by Gordy.
If the preview performance that I attended at the Nedelander is any indication, this show is going to be pretty good and a hit. Or at least a hit with audiences if not critics.
What a stacked cast! Saw Charl Brown go on for TJ in Sister Act and could tell he had more star power than that role allowed for, and he already made it hilarious and had a great voice. Smart of them to use so many Memphis alums as they truly made up a terrific cast. Does Grasan Kingsberry have time to breathe? I've never seen him out of work! Great for him.
