I'm less bothered by "Suddenly" than so many of the naysayers who've managed early listens. As the collaborators defended, it does stitch together a major emotional connection, Jean Val Jean's adoption of Cosette. The song seems to work in part due to its simplicity and story content.

and for all u naysayers Jackman was shown singing a portion of BRING HIM HOME...which of course caused me to get very emotional as this song always does...he sounded beautiful...and the boat sequence that someone mentioned the heavy use of CGI...actually looked quite impressive to me...sorry y'all i am still waiting with much anticipation for Dec 25...
