I remember there was talk of Time Life recording the second Broadway engagement, but nothing seems to have ever came of that. The show has been staged every year in San Diego for the past 14 years. There have been several tours and, counting this year, three New York productions and still no cast recording. Will the third time be a charm or will it go unrecorded yet again? It seems like a New York/Madison Square Garden cast recording would be the perfect excuse. I can't imagine that a CD wouldn't sell fairly well every Christmas in NY, on tour and at the Old Globe in San Diego. What gives?
