A radio interview with Hugh Jackman, they played him out with a bit of One Day More...you get to hear just about everyone (Hugh, Eddie, Amanda, Sam, Aaron, Russell, Sacha, and Helena). The song starts at about 1:55:50. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01p3mmp
I think it sounds quite good. It definitely sounds like it was meant to be seen in the film, though, not heard on a recording, if that makes sense. I do miss Valjean's "One Day More" held out through the next phrase, but I'm sure it wouldn't work visually. I think Aaron Sounds wonderful, but it seems like he was directed to use a British accent, which is what sounds strange. I just wish they played the full song!
Seyfried sounds terrible. did they really need a "name" for Cosette?? I enjoyed it for the most part, the chorus sounds excellent and I'm loving the orchestra.
I like Amanda Seyfried and I trust that I'm gonna like her more in this when I actually see it. Even if I don't, one role, especially not Cosette, would mar this more me. I want to see this so bad I almost want to puke.
saw a screening on weds, and this recording sounds like a rehearsal take. The actual version in the film is much more grand; applause occurred after. This recording is disappointing because it's a bad representation of the film and song.
The version in the film sounded very similar to the broadway version.
