Sorry to quibble, but APPLAUSE has a very important Act II scene set in Connecticut.
Likewise, MAME goes all the way to Dixie, if one recalls the title number.
But I understand that both of the above "feel" like "New York-set shows".
(ETA I apologize. I now see the OP specifically asked for shows set "partly" in New York City as well. So APPLAUSE and MAME certainly qualify. My bad.)
