BROADWAY SINGS at a Very Special 102nd Birthday Benefit This Sunday

On Sunday, December 2, 2012, Broadway Sings for Pride's Broadway and theater talent will take part in a very special102nd birthday celebration benefiting victims of Hurricane Sandy. In honor of Msgr. Marinacci's 102nd birthday, The Basilica of Saint Patrick's Old Cathedral will be hosting a fundraiser on behalf of the victims of Hurricane Sandy from 1:30-4:00pm at the Saint Patrick's Youth Center. Msgr. Marinacci was Pastor of St. Patrick's Old Cathedral from 1971 to 1985. Throughout his priesthood, Monsignor spearheaded many charitable causes. He continues that tradition by dedicating his birthday celebration to the victims of Hurricane Sandy. There will be hors d'oeuvers, music and a 3:00pm showtime featuring the Broadway Sings for Pride talent!

Hosted by Frankie C and Josephine Matra Bray, the 3pm special music performances will feature Broadway Sings for Pride alums Chondra L. Profit (Disney's The Lion King), Calvin Grant (Broadway's Rent, Rocky Horror & Miss Saigon), Rebecca Larkin (South Pacific & Avenue Q on Broadway), Guto Bittencourt (Les Miserables Original Brazilian Cast), Noreen Crayton (Rent National Tour), Lauren Zakrin (MTV’s “Legally Blonde The Musical The Search for Elle Woods), Anthony Lee Medina (Spring Awakening National Tour, The Capeman at The Public), Tracie Franklin (The Color Purple & Hairspray National Tours), Kim Kalesti (Renown Jazz Vocalist, Lincoln Center's "Meet the Artists"), Alexis Yelis Acar (Washington National Opera), Kyle Motsinger (Off Broadway's Fancy Nancy the Musical) and Benjamin Torres (The New Jersey State Opera). Music will be provided by DJ Rafael Grullon.

The event will take place at Saint Patrick's Youth Center located at 277 Mulberry Street between Prince and Houston in New York City. Cast donations can be made at the door for the Sandy Relief Fund/Archdiocese. For more information please visit: http://www.oldcathedral.org.
