I was lucky enough to have seen her performing the role in Australia a few times. And of I think eight actresses in this role I've seen (including most of aussie understudies and three special guest stars from Broadway/West End production), IMHO she is arguably the best. She joined the Broadway cast a while ago, and either this past performance last night or the upcoming one would be her Broadway debut as Mary. Aussietheatre post an article about it but because of the timezone difference I couldn't figure it out which.
Anyway if it hadn't happened yet, I would argue everybody go check her out if you happened to be in town. She is just incredible in the role. I can't say enough good things about her. She had done the show in Australia as Mary for more than 100 times now, so even as her first time on Broadway, I've no doubt she would kick some ass.
