Huh? from RC in Austin, Texas
quote by Beatrice Lillie: “Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'”

It couldn't recover from the loss in tourism from Sandy? A small market made even smaller?

Another victim of Hurricane Sandy. I thought the writing was so-so but the cast was hilarious. Mixed reviews, yes, but it didn't deserve such a quick closure. I'm guessing the producers ran out of money to keep the show afloat until word of mouth sunk in. Hopefully, someone will buy the film rights. I can picture Will Ferrell as Chuck Wood.

I don't even know what to say... I understand their grosses haven't been so well, but now was there chance to really push this show out to the public. I'm really upset that it is closing already..

The show must have had ZERO advance, especially when you consider next week is one of the busiest weeks all year for Broadway.

It's as anyone had time to even read reviews? Give it three more weeks my god.

This escalated quickly.

I guess I'm one of the few that expected it. Everyone involved needs to move on and be in something more suited to their sizable talents.

That's a shame. I think we all knew it wouldn't last long, but this is a surprise. I'm thinking SCANDALOUS is next.
Hi! I'm Zach. I'm 13 years old, and love the theatre. I live on the outskirts of NYC, and pop in to catch about 1 or 2 shows per month.

Pretty shocked. It couldn't get through next week's busy season? They should have started it off-Broadway.

OUCH! Saw this in preview, pre Sandy. The reviews were fair. A talented cast and a so-so script. Certainly not everyone's cup of tea or sense of humor. But not to make it through Thanksgiving? Opening one day, announced closing the next. Top billing one day, next day you're touring in stock. Sorry it ended this soon.

I am sorry this close but I am glad to hear about the stock tour. Will the stock tour come to North Carolina?

The cast is talented enough so that they're sure to get other jobs soon.

wow, the producers must have no faith. I think they are throwing in the towel a little to early, the reviews were mixed, not terrible.

Maybe they should've done a better job marketing this. The title is awful and the posters tell nothing about the show.

Still, this is pretty surprising and I feel terrible for the cast.

"wow, the producers must have no faith. I think they are throwing in the towel a little to early, the reviews were mixed, not terrible."

Credit to the producers for cutting their losses. So many shows hang on when they shouldnt and end up losing even more money. They know what the advance sale is.
