I saw this production a couple of nights ago. I thought it was incredibly good. Kendra sang flawlessly and was incredibly effective in the roll. Previous to this I will admit that I did not like her that much. The rest of the case was quite favorable as was the stunning design. My uncle did the sound and got me some pretty nice seats. Like I said, the set is really quite beautiful, but at times I wished I was sitting higher up so that I could see it from a different angle.
All around a great production. Saw the original on Broadway and love it. This once was quite comparable. Has anyone else seen it, or will see it in San Jose?
Just saw this today in San Jose. It's probably the best regional production I've ever seen. Such a high caliber production that is arguably near the level of the original, which I got to see on tour. Kendra is absolutely perfect in this role. She understands it, which was evident at the emotional talkback after the show.
I saw this on Saturday night as well and I will agree. It was a great performance and Kendra Kassebaum knocked my socks off as Diana. The entire cast is so talented. The set, though shared a few similarities with the bway production, was new and bold. I thought it was quite stunning.
It's a fine life, do you know if this production which was in Tucson and now San Jose will be the same one that will be playing at the La Mirada Theatre in the spring? Love the set design which will work perfectly there and really want to see my first Glinda play the role of Diana there. If you don't know the answer could you please ask your uncle if he knows whether it will be.
