Well, color us Mike Seaver, because the Season 4 premiere episode of Vampire Diaries now has a title. According to TV Guide, Episode 1 is called “Growing Pains.” Let the speculation begin. Elena (Nina Dobrev) is certainly going through some changes. We’ll see the new vampire make her transition, and her death and rebirth are going to cause some schisms amongst the group. For one thing, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) is mad at everyone: His brother, Stefan (Paul Wesley), and Matt (Zach Roerig) are at the top of the list. However, Elena’s going to have a room full of experts giving her advice, so let’s hope her transition isn’t too painful. Of course, executive producer Julie Plec has been saying that Season 4 is like starting over fresh because Elena is a vampire now. We’d like to think the Growing Pains theme song was the inspiration behind the Season 4, Episode 1 title. “We’re nowhere near the end/The best is ready to begin/Ooh, as long as we got each other…” OK, we’ll stop now. The Season 4 premiere of The Vampire Diaries is mere hours away, and the CW is teasing us with all-new cast portraits.
