I'm sorry, but this bigoted freak is a known supporter of the KKK and is an absolutely horrible "human being" who brings absolutely nothing to this community except making people hate him even more every time he "contributes".
I know I was suspended from the boards before for calling him out (in a negative way, I know) but can he just be banned? Can that be your Birthday present (October 14th for anyone taking notes and going to the Mall) to this gay Jew who Jim Colyer, White Supremacist obviously wants dead?
Because I grew up with freaks like this all around me. I've dealt with known Klan members down south. And the fact that he's even here makes my skin crawl. Of course there's no way to know the ins and outs of every member here but let's just say that besides trolls like Roxy, Goth and Mikey (who we all know just troll for the most part), there aren't a whole lot of people on a THEATER MESSAGE BOARD who would want to see me and most of you all dead and would be happy to pull the trigger. Because that's what the Klan is all about. And he's a supporter.
OK. But I promise you that he's getting way more fun out of watching you fly into these rages than you think. Far better, I think, to just let the trolls post their nonsense, however hateful it is, and notify the mods where necessary, of course, without engaging with them. Much much better for your blood pressure, and trust me, I speak from experience.
The thing is, he's kept his white supremacist beliefs off the board. He hasn't broken any rules. He can't, and shouldn't, be banned for beliefs he may hold but hasn't expressed here.
Well I guess until you're an 8 year old Jewish kid coming out of Hebrew School and having your parents cover you while you pass by the Klan screaming at you, you just won't get it.
Are there any rules about trolling? Some message boards do not tolerate it. Jim comes here intentionally to stir the pot. If the mods would look and see, they would discover Jim makes a comment and never responds to another post. He just makes these ignorant stupid claims,never backs them up or engages in any sort of discussion or debate.
HDThoreau2 and other posters have been banned for trolling. I think if Rob would at least address the issue and let us know what the rules are or guide lines would be a big help.It's very frustrating because we are to assume they are okay with his conduct,which will only encourage him to continue and get worse.
romantico, I don't see any specific rules against trolling here, but it must be covered in a general sense (thus those other members being banned for trolling).
I think these points from the guidelines would/could cover the trolling issue (emphasis mine):

That said, as much as the guy creeps me out, and as much as I hate seeing people I like here on the board being hurt by even seeing his posts here at all, I agree with the points being made as to why he shouldn't be banned. Not yet anyway. I keep thinking he'll slip up soon enough and give ample reason to legitimately get himself banned from the community here. Meanwhile I hope/wish we could somehow just ignore him (which I know I'm not doing right now myself).
JbaraFan1, thanks for that. It was helpful and informative. I started a thread "Why Does Jim Colyer Hate America?" and it got deleted. A PM explaining to me why would have been helpful.Knowing exactly what I did would prevent me from making any future mistakes.So, BWW removes a post or thread but does not feel they owe any of their posters an explanation. However, if you make the same mistake again you are in BIG TROUBLE! I was going to start a new thread with the same title,but after reading about what happened to Jordan I figured I better not. BWW REALLY needs to learn to Communicate with its members.
I think it would help if the mods would chime in and explain. It would show they at least care.
A poster is not really interested in any sort of discussion,just enjoys making blanket statements. The poster turns out to be a racist and has said offensive things, but on other forums not this one.
I've always had to ask, is Hate Speech protected by free speech? Jim called Obama's Mom a whore. It was cruel,uncalled for, and inappropriate, IMO. So, it does not take much to drive the HATE out of him. I'm sure the day will come where Jim drops the N word or the F word here. God have mercy on that bigot's soul when he does.
I have be spat on, called names, and harassed as a child for being a Jew.
I may find his comments and personal beliefs loathsome, but to my knowledge, he has not violated any rules of this board.
Technically, this is a private web site, and you have no first amendment right on a private forum not owned or operated by the government.
That being said, I see no basis for banning him based upon his conduct on this board. Plenty of people have said things I find creepy and offensive, and I take it as their right to disagree with me, have different choices, and different opinions. Jim Colyer should be afforded that same consideration. I would think trying to ban him would feed in what I believe is an already pretty skewed world view.
Free speech means that not only do you have the right to state your mind, but you must tolerate that which you do not want to hear, and that which you personally find offensive.
If mikey hasn't been banned (again) for trolling, then Jim Colyer won't, either. Though I have to say his association with that White Power website (or whatever it was called) raised a level of anxiety in me and made me question why he's on this site at all.
Look, I like to get crazy on here with the best of them, but there is something to be said for just ignoring the people who are beyond the pale and/or just trolling to rile people up. The problem is that people won't ignore them; there's always going to be someone to engage. That's why mikey keeps coming back. We collectively post about how we should all just ignore him and his stupid BS, but each time someone (and I don't mean a specific person, because it's not like it's just one person that keeps his trolling business going) always has to respond.
The best thing to do with Jim Colyer, White Supremacist, would be to just post a link to one the various Jim Colyer, White Supremacist threads so anyone posting in there who missed them can see and then just move on.
In my opinion, his posts are getting weirder and weirder. He used to just post his awful music here, but it just seems like recently he is posting more and not conversing with people. He does have a right to disagree with people, but he never explains anything. And then he has also made those weird ones about like the stars and the moon, etc... Granted, I know that's not a reason to ban automatically, but it just seems weird.
And I also find it strange how whole threads have been deleted in the past for people turning posts into nonsense or add to it if it already was. But, on some of his, only individual comments have been deleted.
If people stopped responding to him, his posts will just drop off the board. As far as I can tell, Colyer's posting has increased dramatically since the board has banded in attack against him like a clique of mean junior high school girls. I have zero sympathy for him, but I don't think he's dangerous. He's pathetic. I find it creepy when this board does that, btw, gathering and publishing all the information that can be found on another poster.
I suspect that's why posts have been removed and Jordan was suspended - because of the personal attacks. I despise Colyer's beliefs, but I haven't seen him breaking any of this board's rules. All due respect, Jordan, I don't know why you weren't banned long ago. Between the cursing, the personal attacks, the thread-jacking while making personal attacks, the "funny" copycat threads and so on, you break this board's rules on a near-daily basis, and you're still here - and you want him banned because you don't like what he says, when he isn't breaking rules? Many of us have suffered bigotry in various forms. I'm also Jewish and from the south, and much older than you. I had a cross burned on my yard. I say dude wants to post his krazy krap, let him. And then ignore him. Especially if what he says disturbs you.
It's really simple. Ignore him. If he screws up and breaks a rule here, report him.
