Ok, so the movie does pretty much suck, but you know what? I loved it anyway. If Meryl can get a nom for Music of the Heart then Queen Viola (who truly gives a perfect performance) should get a nom for this one.
Maggie G is hyper, but good, and her love interest subplot comes with some hunky eye candy.
I don't really care if the movie is anti-union- it's too schlocky to be taken seriously. Just see it for the performances. It's almost more impressive to me when an actor like Davis can take such a poor script and turn in such a fully realized performance.
