First Harry now Kate. Frankly i'm not very surprised knowing how she caught her man but i know some will be.

She was sunbathing on private property. It's not like they have to wear magical underwear all the time.

Exactly^^^

The pictures were taken with a super long lense and are totally different than the ones taken of Harry.

Phyllis you never saw the lingerie pictures? He didn't start dating her till after a lingerie fashion show she participated in. By all accounts he had never even noticed her before. After what happened to her brother in law, her sister in law, princesses Caroline and Stephanie of Monaco, royals should know better to take their clothes off during vacation there will be pics, and that is never a good thing.

These nudes were taken during the paralympics, which they did not attend quite a few days of, because they claimed that William was working on his base and that Kate was getting ready for the tour they are currently on. We now see that they lied about what they were up to and didn't do their royal duties, BIG NO NO especially if you are Olympic ambassadors.

Who cares if grownups take off their clothes in private? The only ones who should be ashamed as far as I'm concerned are the ones who took the pictures, the ones who printed them, and the ones who ogle them.

Umm the patrons of childrens charities are others who should, which she happens to be by the way. One of those which is the UK version of the boy scouts, how do you expect them to explain this to poor little kiddies hmm. Or people representing their country aboard and at home, this makes them look very trashy. They certainly can't send her to the middle east as future queen now, and quite a few other countries won't exactly be thrilled. But here in the US since we don't fully grasp the concept, or understand all that being royal entails we treat them like celebrities which is really not what they are, they're international humanitarians and philanthropists.

Not that there is anything wrong with taking your clothes off in the privacy inside your home. But outside it is another, and most certainly not a good idea and if you are in there position anyone at court who doesn't like you and can learn about these kinds of plans will inform the paps about where you are and it will not end well for you.

It's not like she was staggering around a city square, naked and drunk. She was sunbathing on private property, and a paprazzo invaded her privacy.

Jesus Christ.

It's reactions like yours that keep our country so repressed about sex.

"Oh GOD, how can we explain a NUDE WOMAN to the CHILDREN?!"

I'm not saying it's wrong for her to not wear anything in the privacy of her home but the minute she steps outside of that house she is in public, yes even a balcony. People can see her and when she represents her country it's pretty damn shameful. Private, not really the area is a working farm, with a villa the owners lease to wealthy vacationers so really even could have walked past and seen her.

Oh and when your a role model for children you certainly shouldn't be doing something like this when there is a possiblity you can be caught. As Sarah Ferguson said "I told my daughters the minute they stepped out of the house they had to be ready to smile, be friendly, and talk to people because they are in public and no one wants to see a grumpy princess. If they weren't in a good mood or weren't ready to do that they did not need to go out."

Also loving how you are all ignoring that she and wills claimed they were off doing their 'jobs' and instead went holidaying on public funds. She is not Di people, she's a very very very bad impersonation.

Nonsense, and offensive nonsense to boot. There is nothing shameful about sunbathing and swimming in the nude.

I guess we should take heart that you think it's ok to take our clothes off in the privacy of our own homes, though. I hate showering while wearing cut-offs.

eta: "Also loving how you are all ignoring that she and wills claimed they were off doing their 'jobs' and instead went holidaying on public funds."

How do you know they weren't preparing for their work at this estate, and the photographs were taken during a well-deserved break in the action?

Or do you think it should be nose to the grindstone non-stop?

But people COULDN'T see her, not without a friggin' telescopic lens and with the desire to earn money by invading her privacy!

Your outrage is so misplaced, it's absurd. You should be outraged about the money-hungry shutterbugs who make their living ensuring celebrities have no privacy wherever they go. People like whomever took this photo.

Again: she was SUNBATHING. This isn't even remotely close to what Prince Harry's situation.

God forbid someone be nude once!

Not sure citing Fergie is the best example since she too got embroiled in a topless scandal (also in a presumably private moment vacationing). Also the statement of being about her daughters not stepping out and looking embarrassing, umm....

And I really don't get the last comment about being a bad Princess Di impression. Seems like a nice woman and I doubt anybody is consciously trying to follow a trajectory of also a nice woman who also had many, many problems.

I also don't think this is anything like Harry's situation. And I'm not judging him, either, but he's the one I think should have known better.

I guess it could be difficult to explain to children why someone would try to take pictures of people without their permission, and why other people would want to look at those pictures knowing they were taken under those circumstances.

Also, I checked into the Kate thing I sort of remembered that I forget it. But honestly, that sounds like something out of a romantic comedy. They were just friends until he saw her differently at the lingerie show. And he's a prince! In the romantic comedy version, he'd probably think she was someone else as the lingerie dress girl and she wouldn't find out he was a prince till the last reel.

Royals... They're just like us!

Seriously, this is such a non-issue

It seriously damages her ability to do her job. They can no longer send her to most of the middle eastern countries for trips like this and expect her to be treated like the wives of other heads of state because of this. There are also several health and cancer organizations she is the patron of, one of the very few i mit add, and she will lose her ability to represent those organizations. Whenever she gives a speech now people won't be thinking about what she's saying or they won't take her seriously because of these pics. When she was already off to a very bad start, she only performed forty five royal duties this year up until the trip and spent as many shopping. (Compared to newly married women whos husbands very also close to the throne, Fergie: 146, Sophie Wessex: 200 while running a business, then Diana: 350.) They have also already taken several vacations so they really don't 'need a break'. I can't see in the least how going on vacation is going to prepare them to represent their country overseas either. Let alone after they lied about where they were and were making use of taxpayer money when they should have been doing their jobs. When you tell your boss your showing up for work tomorrow, and the next day upload pictures of you in Hawaii i doubt you'd expect to find a happy boss on the way back would you?

i used Fergies quote to show how they have to be ready to behave appropriatly and respectfully at all times, because you never know when their could be paps around.
