So absent buying a subscription for $230, there doesn't seem to be another way in. Dying to see this show and kicking myself in the a$$ for waiting so long to get tickets. I'm not against buying a subscription, but they only allow one ticket per production....and I'd rather not drop $500 for two tickets to 6 shows.
Can anyone offer any help here? Perhaps rush, standing room (I don't think this theater offers...could be wrong...) whatever!!! Better still, if anyone wants to offload their tickets...happy to buy!!!
The cancellation line is a possibility. I did it successfully last Sunday night. My friend and I got there one hour before curtain and were the first to put our names in for $25 Under 30 tickets. We were told that if other people on the cancellation list were willing to pay full price, they would be given priority. We returned twenty minutes prior to curtain and received tickets just a few minutes before curtain. I didn't notice if anyone else got in ahead of us by paying full price nor did I see anyone else waiting around in the lobby for cancellation tickets.
I want to see this so bad, I don't care if I have to pay full price. Do I have to wait in line for cancallation, or will I be on some sort of list? I'm 30 (and my partner is under), can I be on both lists?
Sorry, if I wasn't too clear in my original post. At one hour prior to curtain they start taking names for the cancellation list. You and your partner would both be eligible for the $25 tickets as it is for people aged 30 and under. My understanding was that anyone who indicated they would be willing to pay full price would be given priority over those requesting the $25 tickets. I would tell the box office that you are eligible for the $25 tickets, but would be willing to pay full price if it would better increase your odds of getting a ticket. When I went it didn't appear that anyone else attempted to get cancellation tickets either before or after me, so the price point had no bearing on my ability to get a ticket.
On Sundays, matinees are at 2:30pm, so I would suggest getting to the box office around 1:30pm to put your name on the list.
