I have to send in a video audition tape for a theater camp next summer and I need a song and a monologue to perform. This camp is well-known for doing shows that wouldn't fly at your average small-town high school such as Tommy, Bat Boy, Little Shop of Horrors and Sweeney Todd so my audition song and monologue should be from an edgier than average show.
I am a high alto/low mezzo who has a good rock voice. Acting wise, I am a character actress who has equal skill in drama and comedy.
So does anyone have any ideas for a song and monologue that would fit for me given what I've stated about the camp and about me?
