I know there was thread about this already - but it just turned into a Corine bashing, haha. I'm curious though if anyone has seen the show lately? It officially opens next week, and I'm wondering how it's changed since I went during the first week of previews.... There was a lot of older stuff still in it when I went - Gotta Get A Puppet, Jersey Boys, Wicked, Annie - and no sign of Sister Act, Follies, Megan Hilty, etc that are illustrated in the cartoons on the poster. Has any of that been added yet? Do they still do the Tracie Bennett number?? that was a favorite of mine - she was dead on!!

@macnyc I saw the show yesterday and they made some more changes. Different opening number (it's now BRIGADOON themed), ANNIE number was different (it was called GRANNY), there was no Peter and the Starcatcher number, instead an INTO THE WOODS number. Also they added a ROCK OF AGES number in Act 1. SPIDER-MAN was in the second act instead. There was a hilarious Patti Lupone/Mandy Patinkin added in Act 2, instead of PHANTOM. PORGY AND BESS was moved to earlier in the second act, and the last sketch was THE BOOK OF MORMON. Completely different finale with a "Jesus Christ Superstar" cameo, and then the four cast members sing "I Believe."

I saw a preview earlier in August, and these new numbers were hilarious and the show has greatly improved since i first saw it!

Amazing how many changes there have been to the show in just two weeks. They're all working hard. I would like to see it again, maybe via the 20at20 promotion.

Huge changes! I saw it last night and it was fabulous. But, I think the order above was different, and there was no Into the Woods, Peter and the Starcatcher, or Phantom. Once was hilarious, but I was absolutely crying at the Evita part (when she did the whisper-soprano). Also, that guy's Mandy Patinkin was unbelievable. Sounds just like him.

Would anyone be willing to elaborate on the Peter and the Starcatcher and Into the Woods numbers that were apparently cut? Very curious! Thanks!

Natalie Ellis was amazing. I can't remember the other young woman's name, but she was excellent as well, but Natalie was outstanding.

They must have been cut really early because when I saw the show in July neither were in the show.

The Into the Woods number was in when I saw it about three weeks ago. It started with Sondheim singing about the "Agony" of putting up Into the Woods in Central Park, and he was later joined by Donna Murphy and Amy Adams in their respective costumes. I don't remember too many specifics, but I remember a bit involving Amy Adams being endearingly clueless about what she was getting herself into.

They should add REBECCA into the show.
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Maybe they added the numbers after i saw it.

When I saw it, there were not numbers that referenced IN THE WOODS, FOLLIES, GHOST, or PHANTOM OF THE OPERA.

We did see an updated version of "You've Gotta Get a Puppet" with a WAR HORSE reference in the place of the LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS reference. We had a shortened version of "Wickeder."

I loved the performance I saw, and I'm glad I got the opportunity to enjoy FORBIDDEN BROADWAY live, which is something I had wanted to do for quite some time. I wish I could have seen it after the official opening date as well, but alas living in Houston, TX makes it hard.

I saw the show tonight. The Patti/Mandy number was my favorite. So funny and their impressions are dead on. Worth seeing again just for that number!

this just announced it'll extend through April 28, 2013. Congrats to the cast & crew. just wondering as I didn't see any listed on their website, but considering they do 8 shows a week, do they have understudies??
A Chorus Line played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013.

I haven't even seen it, but the title "Falling Slowly/Frere Jacques" just made me do a spit-take with my egg sandwich.

In Stephen's Ears was still in the show about a month ago.

I may try to take notes when I see it again this Thursday

Agony started as a duet between Sondheim and Hal Prince about the agony of reviving their work, but it changed into the more recent version where Donna Murphy and Amy Adams joined him.

It stayed in until Sondheim was in the audience. They were discussing removing it since ITW had closed and once they saw Sondheim laughing heartily at the number they felt it there was no better time to remove it.

Anyone who is a fan of Seth Rudetsky can see the cast being interviewed at his Broadway Chatterbox. They do a couple medleys of songs from the show during the hour interview

I think the impressions of Bernadette Peters and Harvey Fierstein have been better on previous recordings. And "Buenos Broadway" is really mean spirited, but other than that the recording is very enjoyable.

There should totally be a newsie named Little Dick.

I personally thought the EVITA section was a bit TOO mean, but that's just me. I loved Elena's performance.

However, the Patti & Mandy and Over The Rainbow sections are genius.
