In this SPOILER-packed home video, two young boys express their extreme displeasure at the denouement of Disney's The Odd Life of Timothy Green supposedly the "feel good movie of the season." Linky Dink
Really disturbing and annoying. The parents recording that is terrible. Also, I remember crying over movies in the past like Free Willy and Andre, but never had I acted the way those children were.
Yo mom and dad, ever hear of maybe like checking the movie out first? I mean the kids a re way over reacting but the parents really should have known better!
Something tells me that those children are not super popular at school. That was just beyond ridiculous.
And I can't tell what angle the parents are playing by posting it. The description on the Youtube page sounds as if they are a little peeved, but their reactions that you can hear during the video sounds like they are far more amused by what's going on, and even kind of egging it on.
Dumbo, E.T., and The Iron Giant were my go-to tear-jerker childhood films. The Great Mouse Detective and Pinocchio were one of the more disturbing films I ever saw, or so I thought. Then my parents let me watch The Shining at age 7.
Taking a very quick look at my wall of movies, I'd like to show them these as well -
THE JOY LUCK CLUB LEAVING LAS VEGAS DEAD MAN WALKING THE COLOR PURPLE UNTAMED HEART TITANIC STEPMOM MARVIN'S ROOM DYING YOUNG ONE TRUE THING THE HOURS I AM SAM BEACHES FRIED GREEN TOMATOES MASK AWAKENINGS THE FAMILY STONE DRIVING MISS DAISY LORENZO'S OIL A RIVER RUNS THROUGH IT DANCER IN THE DARK IRIS AND THE BAND PLAYED ON PRAYERS FOR BOBBY RABIT HOLE RAIN MAN GHOST GOOD WILL HUNTING ATONEMENT BIG CHILDREN OF MEN SLEEPERS MILK LITTLE WOMEN
And let me tell you - I saw STEPMOM on Christmas day 1998 at the now deceased movie theater on 44th (I believe) and Broadway and sobbed so uncontrollably the Japanese tourists next to me offered me a handkerchief which I still have to this day.
Couldn't even wait til then, Jordan. Damn that Luke Wilson and his crying to his dad.
I saw this interview Keira and James did about Atonement, where she said that the planned but much maligned original ending was to have Robbie and Cecilia smile and wave at Briony in their ghostly form. That would have been horrible, which Keira agrees with.
The entire scene with "Hav urslf a mry litle Xmas" makes me weep and then at the end when they all get the pictures...I need to lie down just thinking about it.
Confession, I remember crying when Elle got her LSAT results back in Legally Blonde. Not snot-filled hysterics crying, but very happy tears.
I also remember hearing so much word of mouth from people complaining about The Family Stone not being advertised correctly that I prepared myself for not the most usual Christmas movie flare. Still cried.
The messiest tears I can recently remember, or that compared to my reaction to Disney films in my younger years, were Toy Story 3 and the ending to The Bicycle Thief.
