I wonder what the grosses will be like for "Nice Work..." once September rolls around. It's probably making it's weekly nut, but I can't see it getting by in the fall.
If you noticed, with the exception of Evita (ricky martin was back)and some of the shows that are closing soon, most of the sales were off this week. Even Newsies and Once were down for the first time as well as Mary Poppins, who has been killing it this summer. Dog days of summer will bring us into Broadway week, where the 2 for 1's will do very well. I think Nice Work will make it through..
Chicago is poised to take over as the third longest running musical in a few months surpassing Les Miz. Love it! Great American musical done bare bones. Then- on to overtake Cats for #2. It will never overtake Phantom, but 2 is amazing! Say what you will about the Weisslers, but they sure knew how to produce this one-and Fosse is smiling.

Dont forget that school has started across the States, as early as the second week of August in some cities/states, so that and people going back to work account for the drop. Happens every year.
