Lion King question

I was wondering. is there still a STR for the lion king on Broadway?
is there anyway of getting ticket for less then a 100$?

No, there are no discounts for Lion King. (Well, almost never) It sells beautifully without them.

I'm guessing the OP is talking about SRO? If so, yes, it seems like they still have SRO for $15 - $20.

Edit - Actually I linked an old list. It seems like they no longer do SRO.

Last year I was able to get an $80. ticket for back row of the mezz. I guess it depends on what time of the year you are looking to go. I'm a fan of the show but unless they start to put in some cheaper tickets, I dont think I will bother seeing it again anytime soon. But on the other hand I am glad it sells so well and will be around for a long time to come.

Not on Broadway, but on tour you can find them for pretty cheap prices. I saw it in Charlotte, NC, and I got a Tier II ticket for $35.10. The theater I saw it in has 2 mezzanines and they call them Tier I and Tier II.

I know some cities for the tour have student rush if the show isn't sold out. That's obviously different for each city.
