I don't think I'd ever want to see Sailor Moon on Broadway, but I actually kind of enjoyed that performance. The singing was good, choreography wasn't bad, dancing was energized, and I thought the costumes were impressive. If only I knew what they were singing about...

They actually went on from 1993 to 2005 in Japan, with a variety of different actors/actresses.

I love them, personally! They are obviously a bit cheesy and it's easy to get lost with some of the plots (the third Moon had an 'arc' involving vampires, werewolves, and a demon version of Gilles de Rais...) but there are some gems. The song you linked is typically used as an encore song, done after the curtain call. You used to be able to find a lot of the full fan-subtitled musicals on Youtube, but it looks like many were taken down.

Musical adaptations of anime/manga/video game properties are pretty common in Japan. It's a byproduct of their culture viewing comics, cartoons, and video games as activities for everyone. They've had Pokemon musicals, too. I know there's even a bootleg that gets traded a lot of a My Little Pony musical from a while ago. That one's a trip.

The Pokemon musical was an American production that say at Madison Square for a whole and then toured. It starred Dee Roscioli and Andrew Rannells, with anime VoiceOver star Darren Dunstan guest starrin as Giovanni and a voice cameo by Maddie Blaustein, before retiring from voice acting To program the Second Life computer game, as Meowth.
