Well, the haters are mouthing off before they have any of the facts. What else is new?
Fox News is reporting that the shooter denounced the FRC before firing.
The suspect 'made statements regarding their policies, and then opened fire with a gun striking a security guard,' a source told Fox News. Authorities were treating the attack as a case of domestic terrorism. The FRC is a conservative nonprofit that seeks to advance 'faith, family and freedom in public policy and public opinion,' according to its website. The group weighs in on policy, and has often sent representatives to Congress to weigh in on the social effects of policy matters.
Well think about it. FRC has been declared a Hate Group and there was a shooting there. Tragic, yes. However FRC is a hate group who today is playing the victim card.If there was a shooting at a gay youth center the FRC would be bragging that they deserved it and this was God's will. Feel bad for the real victim(s) here.
Ugh. Shit like this isn't good. And there's no way to twist into justifying that it was somehow their fault (unless proof comes out that they actually did stage it). Yes, they are awful. Yes, they cause damage. But shooting up their security guard isn't right. The real victim IS the security guard.
Not saying it was there fault nor am I justifying this. Domestic terrorism is bad no matter what their cause is.Looks like the security guard saved the day. No deaths and if the guard did not act it could have been a real blood bath,so the guard is no doubt a hero. Because this was not as tragic as it could have been I doubt it will get as much media exposure and I am sure the FRC will be FURIOUS about that.
Violence is still wrong. Even when it's being perpetrated (or purported to be perpetrated) in the name of the Left or liberalism. If it turns out that that the shooter was a liberal or similar, this is just going to make it worse for us, not the FRC. It doesn't matter who did it or why it was done; it is still going to be (already) spun into how this is why it's the the LEFT that's a menace and dangerous and intolerant.
This is very unfortunate. If it was actually someone opposing FRC, then this looks very bad. The security guard is obviously the victim. Is he doing ok? Funny how that doesn't seem to get mentioned anywhere.
"The security guard here is a hero, as far as I'm concerned,'D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier said. 'He did his job. The person never made it past the front.'
The guard, who was not identified, was shot in the arm and was conscious after the shooting and was in stable condition. The gunman, who also was not identified, was being questioned by the FBI, sources said. Sources said he is in his twenties.
Please let the shooter not be gay please let the shooter not be gay please let the shooter not be gay please let the shooter not be gay please let the shooter not be gay...
I'm paraphrasing what I saw on Twitter earlier, "Remember all 'leftists' and LGBT are responsible for the FRC shooting, and NO right wingers are responsible for the Sikh tragedy; that was a lone wacko."
And now NOM has blamed it on the fact that the Southern Poverty Law Center labeled them as a hate group. But remember, when you label people as deviants and sick, that does NOT contribute to the violence perpetrated against them.
Is it too late to collect signatures to get something on the November ballot to outlaw heterosexual marriage and also outlaw divorce? Because I really want to do that.
