Oh my gosh..you guys are totes the FRIENDLIEST people ever. Thanks SOOOOOO much for all your kind words and help. I'm sure to post in the very near future. I just can't sing your praises enough!!! Btw, I found it...bam!
Look, if he wanted a bootleg of a Carol Channing show (not saying he should have asked here) but I'd be willing to help. But I really despise things like this being uploaded and given out freely online. Niche things like this film or (the one I hate) cast recordings just given away are detrimental to their survival. And idiots like this who until a couple of years ago would have had no choice but to spend a couple dollars at the video store have this sense of entitlement that they deserve it NOW and for FREE.
Broadwayguy20012 - I think the point that is being made is that a lot of people on this board work in the theatre, tv or film industry. When you illegally download something, you are stealing our livelihood. Especially for a small independent film company like the one who made the documentary, every penny counts. Your attitude makes it less likely we will get such films made in future. It isn't very expensive to watch it. The fact that you are bragging about watching it free is a very sad attitude for someone who ought to know better.
I LOVED the CC doc, and was all eager to read this thread and help some babygay find his way to Amazon so he could watch it. Imagine my shock and disappointment to find that the seeker was actually looking to steal the film. Callow youth.
Such a relief--scrolling down--to see that y'all responded with the perfect blend of disdain and hostility mixed with guidance--just in case the perp is not yet beyond the reach of the Forces of Good.
