For a while, while reading about the film of Cloud Atlas coming out, I've been confused why one of "The Wachowski Brothers" was called Lana, when I was sure one was Larry. Then I figured I was wrong and that maybe Lana was sometimes a guy's name. I just bought a comic book anthology, No Straight Lines, of gay themed comics from the past half century, and it had an introduction by Lana Wachowski. Long story short, Larry is now Lana, a transgendered woman as a quick google search brought up. Pretty cool.
I know she had been out in public in female clothes, but never had spoken about it before. I admit they're not my fave directing team by any means, so I probably missed a lot of talk about it.
