Hello everyone. I was wondering why whenever a lead role leaves a show, why do they wait 2 days to put in the replacement? For example, Richard H. Blake leaves the role of Fiyero on the 29th, but Kyle Massey doesn't start until the 31st. Thanks!

Well unless they don't have shows on Sunday, they will leave on Saturday (say if an Evita cast member left.) They usually leave the last day of the Broadway week (which runs Monday to Sunday). The replacement starts on the next show day.
