Yup. Same concept, different designer and execution. The compare/contrast between the two should be interesting.

Please tell me Donna's transformed/beautiful Witch doesn't wear the Velma Kelly bob that Waddingham wore.

I don't see that working on Donna.

Catch that dirt.

This illustration of Amy Adams as The Baker's Wife was featured in a recent issue of Entertainment Weekly. This was at least five or six weeks ago, but is this any hint to her costume in the real production?

Theatre is not just some petty extracurricular activity I do in my spare time. It is my life, it is my passion, it is who I am. Nothing and no one can change that or take it away from me. All the world is MY stage.

Not at all. That Baker's Wife looks like she's a bar wench.

How big is the band/orchestra?

That Amy Adams sketch looks like a stripper.
What are they saying with that?

I wonder if Cinderella will still have headphones and a nose ring.

I think the sketch resembles a... milk maid. lol.

Note to everyone planning on waiting in line: bring a chair. I feel silly for not having done so.

Got in line around 6 AM, in the 100-150 range of people, we can see the theatre from where we are. They ARE strict especially about sitting on the pavement! But its worth it!!! Happy Waiting in Line!!!

They won't let you sit on the pavement?

Just the opposite, actually. They've requested we stay on the pavement.

Is it hopeless to get in line at this point? How many tickets do they give away?

I'm confused. How are they strict about sitting on the pavement? Do they only want you to sit on the pavement or can you sit in a chair? I'm assuming a chair is fine since this is a free country.

I think the point is that they don't want people moving over to the grass nearby where it's more comfortable to sit and then getting back on line.

Precisely so, frogs! sorry for the confusion. Sit on pavement, not on grass. They haven't gotten angry about chairs as long as its on the pavement.

just as jolly1 asked, about how many tickets do they give away in the 1 p.m. distribution? I understand it varies, but I was curious if there was a general estimate. If someone is able to provide a general breakdown/estimates for the following, that would be excellent:

• 1 p.m. tickets in the park
• virtual lottery
• when applicable, the borough vouchers

Thanks!

Anyone there? Can you give us a line status?

Had a question regarding virtual ticketing if anyone knows the answer. My girlfriend comes in town in August and really wants to see this show and is willing to camp out if necessary, but obviously winning the virtual lottery would be best case scenario. I also have another friend who wants to go before then. I'm wondering whether winning the lottery once affects your chances for winning again (regardless of how slim the chances are of winning once, much less twice). For example, if I entered and won today, would this reduce or eliminate my chances for winning again in the future?

Thanks in advance!

If you don't get an answer here, try contacting the Public Theater on Twitter.

Based on responses during As You Like It, it appears that it is possible to win the virtual lottery more than once. Just by how this thread has blown up in a few days, I'd say your odds are exponentially worse with Into the Woods, so I wouldn't get my hopes up on winning multiple virtual lotteries.

That said, my hopes are up for winning today!

Quick question, I'm planning on camping out for tomorrow's performance, but I cannot stay past 11:00AM (prior conflict). My friend is willing to swap with me then (I'd wait from 6AM to 11AM, she's wait 11AM to 1PM). We're only getting two tickets, would this be okay? I know there's a policy about saving places in line, but since i'm leaving and she's taking my place, do u think the line monitors would be okay with that?

To answer SahDu's question, I have won the virtual lottery twice in the same run, and I know others who have as well. That was last year, and things might have changed. I suggest you take macnyc's advice and contact the Public.

Good luck!

@ghostlight Thanks for the info. I tried tweeting to the Public yesterday and got no response. I'll try calling when their offices open at noon and report back in case anyone's curious.
