Jill Santoriello, who wrote the book, music and lyrics to 2008's A Tale of Two Cities (which has had great life both here in the US and internationally - including a PBS concert) has begun writing a new musical with Mike Gibb and Kevin Walsh based on the novel Outlander by Diana Gabaldon.
Jill posted the first song sample from the musical, "One More Time," with music by Santoriello, lyrics by Santoriello & Gibb, performed by Rebecca Robins and orchestrated by Ed Kessel. One More Time
Interesting. I read the book a couple years ago and enjoyed it. The material could definitely make a good musical. The song sounds good too. It will be interesting to see how it turns out.
Agree 100% p.s.! You can just hear Jill in this song... It easily could have been inserted into a Tale of Two Cities. I really like this... I hope her the best on this endeavor.
