Sorry the CGI ruined it for me. Will not be seeing this. The Oz books are too important to my childhood to see them raped in this way.

Oh and let me guess . from the trailor it is going to be in 3-D! They should have stopped with the poster.

I agree with SNAFU. Looks like a video game. I did like the flying monkeys scene but I have to ask. Does anyone shoot movies on film anymore?

It's not that it doesn't look cool, but I feel like I'm watching a trailer for Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland II. Kind of been there, done that.

Big budget fairy tales/fantasies with a twist are starting to become as popular as superhero movies. We just had TWO Snow White movies, I know we have Maleficent next year and there are at least TWO Peter Pan movies in the works as well as new live action versions of Cinderella and The Little Mermaid.

Maybe they are all leading up to a Princess style Avengers team up?

I'm excited! I think it looks spectacular! Did anyone seriously believe they were going to make a modern day film about OZ and not use the latest technology and effects to recreate that world? What impresses me most is how close they appear to have stayed to the original film's vision and design. Emerald City really looks like Emerald City! And the black and white scenes of Kansas look awesome and true to the original, as well.
