Here's the deal...
The scene/sketch didn't work. If you're going to parody SNM, you must either exceed or, at the very least, par the brillance of the show. Papermoon, your piece is, well, philistine. There is little to no thought behind it. I suggest going to see the show before mocking it. It's trite and a little too "in your face" trying to be funny. Namo's point exactly.
Onto moments that I liked,
I enjoyed the scene with everyone gathering around the fire--there was definitely that eeriness that SNM leaves you with. The audiences responses were fun, brought me back to the old bway show commercials. Especially the Mary Poppins they run on TV that irks me so. The reporter and the audience members were the only ones that had brought energy to this take. You could tell the reporter was trying to pick up everyone else.
