Anyone stage door at Harvey recently? From what I've read, it seems like Parsons does stage door after every performance. I'm watching the Saturday evening performance in a couple of weeks, and was wondering how big the crowd is at stage door...Thanks.
I recently saw Harvey and he does do stage door. His security guard kept him moving pretty quick and he basically just signed playbills while people snapped pictures. The crowd was a pretty decent size the night i went.
The crowd was pretty large. He came out very quickly and signed most of the playbills and posters. He did not stop for pictures. He was very polite and seemed pleased that people were excited to see him. The bodyguards/stage door crew kept him moving along. I did get my poster signed!
I was there for the first preview and it was a very pleasant stage door experience. It took him awhile to come out, but when he didn't he was very nice and signed and posed for pictures. He was even nice enough to sign a second Playbill for a friend of mine who couldn't make it to the show. He is truly one of the most delightful celebrities I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.
When i saw Harvey Tony week, they had no merchandise. That of course, may have changed. I also agree that Jim Parsons is extremely nice. Unless the crowd is huge, you should have no problem getting something signed.
I'm not sure if this is allowed, and feel free to disabuse me of my ignorance if it isn't, but I am selling a ticket for this Saturday's Harvey matinee at 2pm. If you are planning on going, please do me a huge favor and take it off my hands! It cost me about $100, but am not expecting to recover all my cash and will most certainly make a very last minute deal. Thank you!
