That page made me so hungry I am crying. I want dim sum so badly now.
No good can possibly come from using this vast wasteland of error and deliberate deceit. You should get off of it and warn others away. You should make sure your children and grandchildren know what a corrupt and morally bankrupt institution it truly is.
I just had soup dumplings at Shanghai Cafe a few nights ago. Three of us had 3 orders of dumplings and shared two entrees. It was--as always--fan-freaking-tastic. We were about to ask for the bill, and someone (possibly me) said "anyone up for a few more soup dumplings?" And we devoured 3 more orders.
The dumplings of the Gods.

My local Chinese restaurant has been closed down for remodeling for a while so i have been craving Chinese so bad I ate gas station egg rolls for breakfast. It was sort of like suburban dim sum.

I've been to Shanghai Joe's several times, very good. However, there are other restaurants who serve the same dumplings (Chelsea Chinese restaurant, for one). My dive of choice is Wo Hop where I go on a regular basis. Going today!
Jane--do you mean Grand Sichuan at 9th/24th? Also very good soup dumplings. And they take the long tradition of aggressive hostility towards patrons to glorious heights.

When I lived in Flatiron, I would get delivery from Grand Sichuan whenever I had a soup dumpling craving but no time to trek to C-town. When I moved to London Terrace, I was looking forward to being able to pop over for piping hot dumplings any time. After a few visits, I went back to getting delivery!

I apologize--I should have been clearer. I haven't lived in the Terrace since 2006-ish. The place may well have changed owners and/or names since I was a regular.
