"GOProud has endorsed the man who signed a hate group's pledge to destroy gay families via the federal constitution."
Yeah, we want that guy.
I mean, how do these idiots justify siding with someone who clearly DOES NOT have your best interest at heart? They will follow him over a cliff if they are ordered to. It really is sad.
It's noteworthy that, in their endorsement press release, they complete sidestep the fact that Romney is against gay marriage and focus, instead, on the economy.
Speaking of insane right-wing people, Michelle Bachmann just tweeted: "Well be in Becker Freedom Days & Avon Spunktacular Days parades this weekend. We hope to see you there! Call HQ 651-260-4648 for more info."
Whaddaya want to bet that going to the "spunktacular" was Marcus's idea?
We go to tremendous lengths to get the rest of the world to understand that gay men and lesbians are 'just like' everybody else. Nevertheless, it's always a bit of a shock for me to be confronted with the fact that we can be selfish, racist, self-loathing, global warming-denying, trickle-down-theory-believing Republicans, too.
The political affiliation that dare not speak its name...
You read my mind, Namo. The GOP couldn't care less about GOProud or the Log Cabin nincompoops because there aren't enough of them to matter. It's just press for the nincompoops.
"Michael Musto, the Village Voice's longtime nightlife columnist, wrote on his blog today that the gay Republican group GOProud are like 'Jewish Nazis' or 'Black Klan members' because of their endorsement of Mitt Romney.
Musto writes:
So, here's to you and your bizarre contradictions, GoProud.
Log cabin Republicans were in the Chicago Pride parade. My friend boo'ed them vigorously and one of the three people riding the float jumped down to argue with him. His response? "DADT was a Republican idea."
Yeah I dunno what he meant by that either. I did think it was rather funny that they apparently had Romney signs but took them off after the first couple blocks. (There were several hundred people marching behind the Obama Pride banner- way way way more people than marching in any other group.)
