Sorry but the San Francisco message board is totally dead so I thought I might have more luck on the main board.
Has anyone done the rush for this show in the past week? If the answer is yes, did you show up earlier than the required two hours before the show? Is there usually a line and do they always sell out? I have no idea what their attendance has been.
Also, are there any great/good bars in very close vicinity to the Orpheum?
Thank you in advance. Haven't posted here in years. I've missed it.
Don't know about bars, but there's a park right next to the theatre with lots of slimy homeless people. Terrible part of town (but not as bad as the Golden Gate Theatre area).
well I thought of absinthe, it is an awesome place and its walking distance, but its a bit too much of a walk and you're right id prefer not to walk around in the hood at 10 pm
by the way, I know there is a parking lot next to the theater but do you know if it would be relatively easy to find free street (metered) parking?
No, that's perfect timing. If it's not too much trouble, after you buy your tickets, could you ask the box office what time they would recommend getting in line, on a Friday or Saturday? Oh gosh, thank you so much!
I've sat in worse balconies. It is pretty high up, but you can see everything just fine. I haven't sat in the balcony for American Idiot, but it's probably fine.
Okay the rush was not too bad. I got there at about 4:30 and was about the 13th person in line. I got the tickets and so did a lot of people behind me. Weekends will probably be more popular. Maybe get there at 4 or so and you should be fine.
4:30?? Oh man. I was hoping to get there at like 5:15. I think we're gonna go this thursday. Unfortunately I am in charge of getting the tickets though. UGH. Hate waiting for more than an hour. I'm not an 18 yr old in nyc anymore.
Anyway, thank you so much JBroadway! You could not have been more helpful!!! Thank you so much! xoxo
