Nice story, but is there something significant to the phrase "this is what they got." Move on said the same thing about the kid who spoke on behalf of his mothers ("Two lesbians raised a baby and this is what they got.") Maybe it's me, but I just think it's such a weird thing to say.
Right? I just think it's so weird that I thought there had to be significance if they've used it two different situations. I agree, it just sounds negative.
It does sound negative, but it's in response to the whole negative right wing argument against homosexual couples adopting, so I'm just assuming it's co-opting that and turning it inside-out.
