Hello, all. Not entirely sure if this is the right place for this, but maybe someone here can direct me elsewhere, if need be.
I'm planning to begin classes at the Stella Adler Studio in September, in their Evening Conservatory program. It's exciting, but daunting for a number of reasons, but the most stress comes from A.) finding somewhere to live in NY that won't entirely bankrupt me, and B.) finding a full-time job (or a couple of part-time jobs) to fill my hours outside of classes, and to keep a roof over my head (who needs food, that's what coffee is for, right?!?).
Can ANYONE here point me in the right direction for where to even BEGIN looking into these things? Any advice/input is appreciated, either here or via PM.
I'm moving to NYC in the fall to attend Circle in the Square... I'm coming from France, so I can't work in the US, but as far as accomodation go, I would recommend a share, either in Brooklyn or Queens... Go see what's up on Craig's list (beware of scams!). I personnally found a room is a decent flat in Astoria for $700/month, which is OK for New York. Granted, the lease is held by someone I became friends with over Tumblr, but I'm sure you can find something using more traditional means! Best for Stella, I'm sure it'll be fantastic! :)
