Other Desert Cities closing?

Is Other Desert Cities closing on June 17th? I find it odd that they are only onsale a little more then a month in advance.
I know when Next to Normal took seats off sale they later announced that the final onsale date would be there final performance

The show hasn't been selling past June 17th, so it's not a case of them taking dates off sale. I'd imagine the producers are waiting to see how the show does at that Tonys before deciding to put tickets for the summer on sale. If it doesn't win at least Best Play or Best Actress, I can see the show folding the Sunday after the Tonys, as it hasn't exactly been a hot seller as of late. That could be attributed to the fact that there have been 39 shows playing the past several weeks though.

^They can't wait until the Tonys. That would mean that they'd have only a week's worth of advance sales. I'm assuming the producers want to see if there's a post-Tony nomination bump this past week, maybe wait one more week, and then make a decision.

Yes, that makes the most sense, but I'd imagine that a determination on that would have been made by Friday at the latest. If the show wins Best Play there will be enough immediate interest from that to cover the first few weeks of the new block of tickets.

I'm personally surprised that ticket sales weren't extended into Labor Day a while ago, just to gauge interest irrespective of the Tonys and then they could having reined it back if the interest wasn't there following the Tonys.

Either way- I'm not a producer, so what do I know.
