I was wondering about how faithful this PBS/British tv movie version of She Loves Me to the actual original show.

I haven't watched it in a while, so someone else can probably help more, but it's pretty faithful--using the original script with some edits and cutting a few songs...

Most of it is on YouTube. I noticed they had to change a lyric in the opening number because it's a British cast, and as Melba in Pal Joey puts it:

"English people dont say 'clerk', they say 'clark'",

and "clark" doesn't rhyme with "work".

As far as I recall it's the one and only SHE LOVES ME, which is not a show that's ever been changed, at least substantially, for any production.

After all, why mess with perfection?
