So, as some of you may know, there is a titanic inflatable slide. Something that one can rent for parties etc. I was just thinking, would it be in too bad a taste to attach that slide to the ship's pool as a water slide?
Every couple of years some billionaire jumps out and claims to build a "Titanic" replica. I'll believe it when I see the champagne breaking ceremony. (Which the real ship didn't have, btw!)
One of my friends texted me all excited about this. I'm undecided. I initially thought it would be an exact replica (of course with modern safety features) which I would be interested in if only to see what it was like, kind of in the fashion of the Discovery exhibit.
But a modern ship with the same name, not so much.
Side note: I loved the Titanic slide when I was young and dumb. :)
Like I said....with no loss of life. Preferably, while its in port...with a slew of media there to cover it and to catch the embarrassed billionaire. Something about this just hocks me off. like I said earlier, it will have a large passenger list. But this is borderline mocking the people that died. Men, women AND children.
