Wish I was going to be there -- just saw Ken Davenport's tweet about how people had 2 last chances to see Hunter live... and it was almost enough to make me want to go out and snag a ticket. But I just saw it 2 weeks ago, so am going to save the cash.
Will be curious to hear from anyone who goes, though!
Saw yesterday's matinee and Hunter got quite a bit of applause on his entrance.
My friends and I visited with him backstage after the show and he didn't seem too positive about returning to the show. In his words, "There's only a slim chance and it depends on contracts".
I agree, Dollypop- I saw it a couple weeks ago and honestly enjoyed it most out of my four show vacation weekend (Once, Evita, and Starcatcher were the others...). All were great, of course, but I just felt something special in Godspell (and I'm atheist... lol).
Short of physically forcing audiences to purchase tickets, Ken Davenport won't be able to do anything to prevent the show from shuttering once a fall production readies itself to take the theater for the onslaught of the new season.
