FYI: Death of a Salesman played four performances for the week ending 4/1/12. Performances on Friday, March 30 and matinee and evening performances on Saturday, March 31 were cancelled so actor Andrew Garfield could honor promotional commitments to The Amazing Spider-Man. Death of a Salesman resumes its seven performance a week schedule this week.
Yikes for Magic/Bird. This show literally needs glowing reviews if it's going to survive. It played 7 performances and was beaten out by only 5 performances of a French farce at a subscription house. Not good news.
Glad Raven is helping out Sister Act. I love that show! The woman at the box office showed me all the advance sales and said that they're doing very good business now, and that was only on her 4th performance in.
Ahh, from INDUSTRY INSIGHT: FYI: Death of a Salesman played four performances for the week ending 4/1/12. Performances on Friday, March 30 and matinee and evening performances on Saturday, March 31 were cancelled so actor Andrew Garfield could honor promotional commitments to The Amazing Spider-Man. Great bump for Sister Act! I hope they can keep pulling those numbers. As for Magic / Bird, YIKES!!! I can not see that lasting long. I'm glad to see a lot of the new shows doing so well, especially Evita!
Death of a Salesman was cancelled because Andrew Garfield had to attend the very prestigious Kid's Choice Awards! I really want to know what Philip Seymour Hoffman would have thought about that...
Looks like Book Of Mormon could be heading for trouble it took a tip of $1,976, which is equivalent to 4 very premium seats, could it be heading for closure anytime soon?
Also, how are those GHOST numbers for previews? With Newsies and Evita preview numbers sky-rocketing in the past few weeks I'm not entirely sure what to make of the numbers for Ghost.
