I would say this is unexpected and exciting casting. She really does have a killer voice. Hope news of this production continues in this direction.

Funny enough that Deborah Cox will be the oldest Lucy, as many thought Linda Eder was too old for the role at 35. But with this part, it's all about the voice. Very excited for this.

I'm amazed that there would be an investment in such a show that ran for a few years and did not recoup, plus the lack of enthusiasm for Wildhorn shows recently. I can understand a tour to a certain degree, but to aim for broadway, it just surprises me. Having said that, I'm not disappointed. I'd be interested in seeing a new direction of the show.

In the Playbill.com press release, it states that the Broadway run will be a "limited engagement". Myabe it'll run from April-September only(6 months)??

Well a number of shows have been revived that did not have financially successful original runs. Follies comes to mind..
