I've always wanted to hear Michael Ball sing the Meat Loaf classic "I would do anything for love(but I won't do that)". But if it has to be a musical theatre song, then maybe "Till I Hear You Sing" from "Love Never Dies". I don't really like the show, but I think it's a good song and it fits Michael.
Mary Testa - Everything's Coming Up Roses Gavin Creel - Everybody Says Don't Patti LuPone - There Won't Be Trumpets Laura Benanti - My White Knight Barbara Walsh - Could I Leave You?
Jane Krakowski "I Resolve" and "A Trip to the Library" Kelli O'Hara "Vanilla Ice Cream" and "Will He Like Me" Jane and Kelli "I Don't Know His Name" Rory O'Malley "Try Me" Peter Bartlett "A Romantic Atmosphere" Michael McGrath "Perspective" Victor Garber "Days Gone By" Gavin Creel "Grand Knowing You" and "Ilona" Josh Radnor "She Loves Me" and "Tonight at Eight" Josh and Kelli....
ah hell the complete Roundabout benefit cast of She Loves Me and the entire glorious score
I cry every time I think about not being able to see that performance of She Loves Me. Then again, I cry because I couldn't see Barbara Cook or Judy Garland as Amalia either.
I wanna see Audra McDonald as Amalia, too. Her "Will He Like Me?" is divine.
Toni Collette and Colin Donnell: "Some Other Time" (not the right ages, but whatever) Michael Arden: "Momma Look Sharp" Lisa Brescia and Sutton Foster: "I Know Him So Well" Brian Stokes Mitchell: "Thousands of Miles" Justin Scott Brown: "I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face"
I've always wanted to hear Lea Salonga sing both "Nobody's Side" and "Heaven Help My Heart" from "Chess." I also wish she sang more legit soprano songs.
Garland played Amalia, Pinoyidol, or was that an I wish she had?

I realize we've gone sometimes into the "they've done it and it was perfection" zone that perhaps was not OP's intent, but while we are at it, here's one of those: Kerry O'Malley "Knowing When to Leave," Promises at Encores
Both of you are wrong Judy did a movie that was partly the basis for she loves me, but never the broadway show. On the subject of Garland i would have loved to see her play nellie i know she was orginally supposed to go on during martins vacation week, I think she would have done a great cock-eyed optimist, and a near perfect honey bun, if only. On another subject Patsy Kline had she lived would have done a perfect wash that man right out of my hair.
