After seeing the show a couple times and listening to the recording maybe a couple million I've realized how incredible the Elder ensemble is. They each have their moments to shine in Hello, Two By Two, Turn it Off, and I Am Africa but they also blend in together so perfectly that I have a hard time telling them apart.
For those who have seen the show many times or just know, who is who? Looking at the lyrics may help. I'll fill them in as people write who is who.

I've been a Kevin Duda fan for a long time and I love watching his expressions... well, him and all the other Elders as well. :)
Does anyone know who plays Jesus and who plays Brigham Young? Been wondering, and I'm assuming they don't list these characters in the playbill to preserve the element of surprise.

NATIONAL TOUR --
Elder Grant/Elder Church - Michael Buchanan Elder Green/Elder McKinley - Grey Henson Elder Young/Elder Neeley - Bud Weber Elder Harris/Elder Thomas - Kevin Michael Murphy Elder White/Elder Widmar - Jacob ben Widmar Elder Brown/Elder Michaels - JR Bruno Elder Smith/Elder Zelder - Daniel LeClaire Elder Cross/Elder Davis - Jeffrey David Sears
Those look right, especially with understudy tracks. I can see Buchanan and Murphy covering Elder McKinley and Bud Weber covering price. The only one that might not match up is Jacob ben Widmar being the u/s for Cunningham as Ben Schrader is on Bway. Is Jon Bass the only cover or is another Elder a second cover?
hairspraydude1962, I've been trying to figure this out too. The giant picture of them all together being paired up with their counterparts really helped. :)
Jon Bass is the standby Cunningham, so he'll be the first cover. He's basically the equivalent of Jared Gertner in the OBC.
There was a tweeted picture of JR Bruno where it was captioned something like, "Understudies hard at work," but I'm not sure if he'd cover Price or McKinley.
Oh, and via Jacob ben Widmar's Instagram, it appears that track will be named based on whoever is originating the role in that company -- he posted a picture of his name badge and it says "Elder Widmar." :) (But I agree, I don't see him covering Cunningham either.)

ok, interesting thread. i have seen bom twice with the same elder price - not original cast. one of my favorite shows ever. brilliant book. here's my concern. i am wondering if Hello is lip synched. it is just too perfect, and it seems it is exactly like the recording. i know it would be very difficult for the actor to time his mouth perfectly to his own "hello" but still i wonder. the first time i saw it "I believe" seemed too perfect. it is such a difficult song to sing. it seemed effortless - i know - that's their job but he is second cast for gosh sakes. the second time i saw him i did believe he was actually singing. so i am wondering but -leaning on the side of them actually doing all the singing live. thoughts?
