I think Wonderland might have legs, at least for a little bit.

3 shows that will close (in order):
Baby, It's You
Born Yesterday prior to limited engagement's original closing date. (if they don't win any awards, and grosses don't improve)
Wonderland

Baby It's You will be first, then Wonderland. I'm not sure about anything else yet.

I hate threads like this. Why would you wish this on someone? A closing means jobs are lost and something special ends. It happens and all shows close, but why do you have to predict? Just let it happen.

Good People
The Motherf**ker With The Hat
Bengal Tiger At The Baghdad Zoo
Arcadia
The House Of Blue Leaves
Jerusalem
Hair
Ghetto Klown
The Importance of Being Earnest
The Normal Heart
That Championship Season

I predict these will all close before the Fall.
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I agree with Wicked1492. We might not enjoy everyshow we hear or see but these shows are jobs for these actors so predict a shows closing is sad. Yes im not a big fan of Baby its you but i do wish all these shows long runs.

This thread doesn't take any jobs away. No one is WISHHING anything. Shows close. It'l common that a bunch will close in the near future and then again before summer is over. This is simply speculation.

Lombardi announced it's closing, 5/22.

I think Wonderland will be like Addams Family and keep on scraping by for a good run. Of course Wonderland doesn't make the big star names, but I think it will do well.

I predict every single show will close. Even Wicked.

Eventually.

3. Million Dollar Quartet
A Chorus Line played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013.

Obviously, theatre enthusiasts and supporters would NEVER want to see people lose jobs or see shows close. Heck, there's hardly an amount of shows on Broadway as it is.
WE NEED EVERY SHOW OPEN AS LONG AS POSSIBLE!
But then there's reality and the sad truth of the fact that ultimately, it is a business. And just that. It has nothing to do with how good a show is and whether or not it stands the test of time.

And as nature of the game calls it, there is always a series of show closings during noms and after Tonys are given out due to production costs, lack of marketing and the obvious nature of the theatre business. which also leads to stunt casting to keep the show somewhat afloat.

This is not to 'down' the shows--but a prediction of what people think will happen in the coming month or two.
And obvious speculation just as was mentioned above.

It's just the way it always goes, for many many years lately. Unfortunately.

I myself was a huge supporter of The Mystery of Edwin Drood when it came out in 86.
It won a number of Tonys including Best Musical and score..but simply closed quickly due to something called Les Mis and Phantom.

SO- it is just an interesting question to pose and see what people speculate.
Again,... It wasn't done to be mean spirited.

I agree with many of you who believe that Wonderland will try and run. They probably budgeted for that initially, but in the end perhaps by say, October (if it makes it that long) it will expire.

I think a lesser, but also valiant will be made to find and sustain an audience for Baby, It's You – mainly female baby-boomers.

I think the next closing will be Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo; and if Nina Arianda doesn't win the Tony, then it's likely bye bye Born Yesterday. House of Blue Leaves will be foreclosed soon as well.

Personally I wish that Priscilla would go away during the summer. Yes, that's mean, but the rest of my predictions are purely academic.

And so many people were laughing and/or pissed at me weeks ago for predicting that Daniel Radcliffe would not be nominated for a Tony Award.

BOM is selling tickets into March of 2012. Thats unheard of for a show that just opened and its only May of 2011, almost a year away. It will run for ten years you fools!

^Is it really that funny? I can't see Mormon lasting anything LESS than 10 years.... It's in such a small theatre, even when discounting starts to happen (not for a good while) it will manage...
2012 Shows!
The Railway Children, The Lion In Winter, The Comedy of Errors, Richard II, Pippin, The Ladykillers, Absent Friends, Shrek, Masterclass, Jersey Boys Rock Of Ages, Legally Blonde, Hay Fever, Singin' in the Rain, Abigail's Party, What the Butler Saw, Ragtime. [Booked] London Road, The Last of the Haussmans.

I'm just so confused as to how Priscilla's on people's lists. Besides the obvious low-grossing shows (and the one's listed in this thread), in it's lowest week it still brought in more money than Addam's Family, Memphis, Catch Me, Anything Goes, and Sister Act (just to name a few) which aren't on anyone's lists. AND it has higher average ticket prices as well. Higher gross potential than some of these as well. Seems as if people are hoping it closes rather than looking at the actual numbers which is what should be done..

I can imagine the the novelty of The Book of Mormon dying off with the national tour, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if it closes after 5 years. Spamalot ran almost two years selling out completely.

TEN years? Really? Pretty high expectations -- aren't there only 3 currently playing now that have surpassed that? Not too many shows get there.

I have no feelings on the show at all -- but even lots of really successful and "hot" shows run their course in 2 to 3 years.
