Anyone know if he has a desire to return to the stage? He's very talented and I'm loving his voice on "All Things Left Behind". He's a very talented young man.

I certainly hope so! Given the kinds of things he said about theater being his background and what he really loves to do in all the interviews he did for Spring Awakening, I wouldn't think it out of the question. I thought he was wonderful as Melchior.

I would love to see him back onstage as well. I love him in Weeds and wish I got to catch him in Spring Awakening.

I remember reading or seeing an interview during his run in Spring Awakening when he said his dream role is Joseph in a revival of Joseph and the blah blah blah...

Joseph... is one of my guiltiest pleasure, but he can do better than that!

Thanks, Bobby. re: Hunter Parrish What a cutie.

He was my favorite Melchior out of the five I saw.

I just read an interview with him where he said he'd love to return to the stage the first opportunity he gets.

"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

I miss Spring Awakening so much. I saw it once on tour and regret not going back. One of the most magical, important experiences I've had in a theatre. I've never longed for a show this much.

I think we have Mama Parker to thank for him doing Spring Awakening and wanting to keep a career on stage.

In part, I remember him giving her a lot of credit, but I also remember reading he did theater before Weeds, too. MLP encouraged him to go back to it.

I just listened to his "Left Behind". I'm not a great fan of the show, but he does sing the song beautifully. I'd love to see him in another musical (or a drama). I also think it's wonderful that a young actor who has had TV and film success retains such a commitment to theatre.

I wasn't all that impressed with his Melchi, but to each his own. (but yes, he sang Left Behind beautifully.) But that wouldn't keep me from seeing him again...but he wouldn't GET me to the theater.

LOL the full hayloft scene: the enitre original cast.

I didn't realize it was Hunter Parrish in the Seventeen Again movie until the party scene.

I'd see Hunter as Joseph... because he'd be without a shirt for the whole show. I mean, because of his immense ability to take a script and... Nevermind. I'd see it just to look at him.

I think he's a great actor, both in Weeds and he was wonderful in Spring Awakening. I'd love to see him back on Broadway, and he'd probably GET me to the theatre. re: Hunter Parrish

I remember him saying that Mary-Louise Parker was very excited about him being in SPRING AWAKENING, so I'm sure she has very much influenced him to keep returning to the stage whenever possible. And I hope he does!
I love that Parker continuously does theater work despite being based in LA due to WEEDS, and now Justin Kirk has decided to return to the stage too. Parrish seems to have good theater mentors re: Hunter Parrish

"Some people can thrive and bloom living life in a living room, that's perfect for some people of one hundred and five. But I at least gotta try, when I think of all the sights that I gotta see, all the places I gotta play, all the things that I gotta be at"

Parker: "Hunter return to the stage, please."

Parrish: "Do I have to put my shirt on?"

Parker: "We'd prefer if you didn't."

We'd prefer it if he joined the cast of Naked Boys Singing.
