So I just watched the sneak peak with Nick Jonas and Angelica and they hint towards Ivy as Marilyn. Also after viewing Hilty as Lorelei in the "Diamonds" clip I am daily certain it is Hilty in the shadowed picture.
Well that clip they just posted with Joe Jonas totally reveals who put the peanuts in the smoothie. Not that its a real surprise, but kind of a joy-kill.
I think Karen will end up taking Marilyn at the 11th hour.
I think they'll decide Karen is too green (as she's been all along) and that Ivy knows the role better and then something will happen and Karen goes on at the 11th hour.
I hope the something that happens is that Karen snaps and ties Ivy to the traintrack after finding out about her affair with Dev. I've been waiting for Karen to do something remotely interesting all season.
We all know the best psychopaths have that dead glazed over look in their eye, so I'm waiting for SMASH to throw us that plot point that has all along justified McPhee's casting.
Since I don't watch Idol, I've never actually seen McPhee before this show and...I like her. I have a much bigger problem with the writing for her character than I do with her acting.
Michael Bennett's speculation is exactly what I see happening. They still haven't shown the scene from previews where we hear someone say "She's not breathing". People assumed it was for Uma's character but it isn't. I'll speculate it's going to be Ivy popping pills again which will lead to the casting of Karen. Didn't I read that Bernadette Peters was returning like Jonas for the final episode?
I'm all for a big opening number with a bunch of flashy Broadway stars singing "Let Me Be Your Star." Beats Gleea Michelphaba sounds surprisingly awful on the Tony's.
The show will be put on hold till mid-season in the 2012-2013 season. I think the reason why NBC is doing this is because they thought that NBC's viewers were tired of music after watching 'The Voice' for two hours straight. Plus 'Hawaii Five O' and 'Castle' out perform it. Still, I am not sure if its a good idea to wait a whole year for a show. People forgot about 'Pushing Daisies' when it was on hold for a year due to the Writer's Strike.
