I caught up with this last night. HOW have we come this far without mentioning young Liza Streep as Angelica's daughter who was "out in the middle of India" when her dad slipped her the cool three mil? She had the incandescence and a little woodeness of a sprouting sapling. I'm hoping for a Katie's Choice between her parents and monitoring the Foxconn factory for the season cliffhanger.

Wasn't that just the utmost?
"Katie! I thought you were in India. What are you doing here?"
"Lost had some leftover flashbacks, so I borrowed one to make you more sympathetic. Why is Daddy being such a dick?"
"Deddy, I NEED access to that trust money, like, yesterday. Mummy needs some of the beautiful little gorgeous little beautiful things I've picked out for the rat hole slum apartment that is literally worse than the worst slum I saw out in India that you're making her live in."
Jack probably told her there IS one special thing she could do to maybe get the park back and that it would keep her innocence blow her sexuality on top. Or something.
Oh, and I forgot to say, I still think Cousin Debbie is channeling Miss Sandra Bernhard, most noticeably in this week's court room scene and with those fantastically INSANE sunglasses in Angelica's office.
Ellis is whatever he needs to be to get what he wants.
Ellis is whatever the writers need him to be to create conflict. They don't seem to have any interest in him other than as a plot device. He might as well be a mysterious gift-wrapped box with a tag that says "DO NOT OPEN".
Karen is a menacingly dumb moron head. She really does have everything handed to her on a plate. Boyfriend probably foots most of the bills, her parents are there for her. She arrives late to the bar mitzvah gig in a tiny dress and strappy heels? and is glued to her phone all evening waiting for texts, doesn't know what she's doing, gets a record producer's attention. She arrives late at that appointment, too. She Roxily imagines herself in the lead role, which only highlights how inappropriate a choice she'd be. As a performer, she's not even in Ivy's league (heh).
