I did not see any substitution announcement for the Wednesday matinee. Can someone please tell me who played Bazzard at that performance, if it was not Benson? Whoever it was, he was excellent!

The slips notoriously fall out, and there were at least three that day - could have been missed. I believe Nick Corley was in for Bazzard (busy boy. He covers Durdles and Chrisparkles, too).

Corley's Bazzard is very different. Peter's Bazzard is a maniacal energetic type that would do anything to be on that stage, whereas Nick's is more of a sadsack who never expects to be on stage and is thrilled when he does. Kinda cute, and it was nice to see an understudy that was not a carbon copy.

Thanks, ghost light! From your description it must have been Nick Corley. He was a sad sack, and that made him so sympathetic that he won the vote for husband of the married couple. Very nice voice, and adorable persona. And since I was in an aisle seat, he even had a nice little conversation with me at one point when he was waiting in the aisle for his entrance. In character, of course.

Will be seeing the show tonight! Lotsa understudy love. I believe I heard that Will Chase, Peter Benson, Nicholas Barasch, Jessie Mueller will all be out tonight. Wonder how they're gonna work around not having enough cast members to fill out the ensemble.

I loved it and it did not seem like anyone was missing! Rosa was voted muderer, Helena was Datchery, and Puffer and Durdles were the lovers.

Yes, he was! I've never seen Chase, but I can't imagine him being any better.
And Erin Davie sang the sh!t out of her confession!
Was really impressed with everyone in the cast!

I so agree about Davie too, her confession was really, really great. Samonsky was also much better than I expected, very funny and very handsome, though very different from Andy Karl. For a night that was a bit chaotic with all of the understudy madness, everyone really pulled it off and gave such amazing performances. What a fun night!
